This documentary shows how the two biggest CSG projects in Australia’s history were rail-roaded past the environmental impact assessment process without any consideration of how they will deplete Australia’s limited ground water reserves or any determination of the amounts of gas released.

Australian federal Resources Minister Martin Ferguson sold $30 billion dollars worth of coal seam gas to China … the problem was no project had even been approved by the Queensland Government.
This is the story of how the EIS process was rushed through the environmental process, how the required groundwater was missing, and how the priority was a ‘bankable outcome’ for the government of the day and those multi-national companies who benefit, rather than an environmentally & socially responsible outcome for the people of Queensland.
They tell us coal seam gas is a cleaner greener fuel which will help reduce carbon emissions, but that is a lie. The methane which leaks from CSG drilling operations far outweighs any potential saving in CO2, and the hydrogen sulphide and radon released poison us all.
These projects are expected to lower water tables by between 100 and 700 metres.
